Hello!

Welcome

My name is Litea Dakunimata. I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I offer online and telephone counselling in both English and German.

I aim to provide a warm, confidential space where you can explore your experiences, and move forward with greater understanding and clarity.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn. Perhaps you are going through a significant life transition, adjusting to a new environment, coping with loss, or experiencing a sense of disconnection. Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to face it alone.

With a background in social work and many years of experience supporting individuals through complex life challenges, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and practical perspective to my therapeutic work. My integrative training in therapeutic counselling builds on this foundation, drawing on approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic and Compassionate Inquiry.

I value the therapeutic relationship and see trust, honesty, and openness as central to the process. Many of my clients choose to work with me long term, building a strong foundation for emotional insight and lasting growth. I also offer short-term, solution-focused support where appropriate. Whatever your needs, we will work at your pace and in a way that feels meaningful to you.

As someone with a multiethnic background, I welcome and respect the diversity of cultural, personal, and spiritual identities that shape who we are. I offer a safe, inclusive space where you can bring your whole self, and where spiritual or existential concerns can also be explored if they are part of your journey.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in unhelpful thought patterns such as self-criticism, avoidance, perfectionism, or persistent worry. In our work together, we can explore where these patterns come from, how they developed, and how to gently shift towards more self-compassionate and supportive ways of being.

If you are considering therapy and would like to explore how we might work together, please feel free to contact me at lkd.counselling@outlook.com. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can talk about your needs and whether this space feels right for you.
